Volunteer

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!

Take action and help move our mission forward! We have volunteer opportunities that meet many levels of interest. Look below to discover how you can make a positive impact supporting the growth and development of young children with the greatest needs in Wake County.

Outdoor Learning Environment Project

For individuals or groups, work on elements of children’s outdoor learning environments that enhance physical activity and gardening. Projects include things like installing tree stumps for outdoor story circles, building green bean teepees, or installing raised beds for planting.

Staff Appreciation Donation

Show early educators you value their vital work supporting the development of young children during their most critical period of brain development. We welcome donations like gift cards, self-care items, snack baskets, or an item of your choice. Gifts are especially valued during Teacher Appreciation Week in early May.

Supply Drive Donation

Throughout the year, we hold supply drives to provide child care centers with items that support and enhance their work. We always need items like books, craft materials, cleaning supplies, baby nursery needs, gardening items, and other general classroom materials.
